A is for Alicia

You know that beautiful half-Spanish, half-American beauty you see walking down the hallway with her clique, smiling her beaming, white smile?  The one with glossy, dark-chocolate brown hair that bounces with her every step, flawless but tan skin, and ears that hear every single piece of gossip that anyone speaks?  The one who has a love for all things Ralph Lauren? The one you want to be, or even be friends with.

That girl is me – Alicia Morgyn Rivera, Leesh for short.

I’m sure you’ve heard plenty about me by now, but let me clear it all up for those of you who live in your own little gossip-free world.  I am the daughter of Nadia and Len Rivera and grew up in Westchester, NY.

Dance has been a significant part of my life ever since I was a toddler.  Though I’ve learned many styles, Ballet and Salsa are the ones I enjoy the most.  I used to attend classes and lessons at Body Alive Dance Studio – aka B.A.D.S – and was captain of their competition team until I graduated from high school.  Now I am a part-time dance teacher there during summers while I am not away at college.

I used to be the Beta of the Pretty Committee, the clique of which contained my best friends and sisters for life: Massie Block, Kristen Gregory, Dylan Marvil, and Claire Lyons.  We were the top clique at Octavian Country Day High School, but have fallen apart from each other ever since.

I am still living in NYC and you can find me frequenting the mall, any Starbucks or good local coffee shop, or occasionally visiting my parents back in Westchester.

I don’t know what life has in store for me right now, and it’s quite a mystery, but join me in my journey by reading my posts!

  1. Alicia, I tagged you for the Liebster Award on my OfficialAlisonCarter blog! (You don’t HAVE to do it, but I was letting you know.) :)

    1. Hola,
Well to begin with, since Spanish post and page titles are my blog’s trademark, I did like how I had it. And the title was “Besos, A” which isn’t the exact same thing as yours so I don’t believe that I should have to change it. But to avoid drama, which I don’t want, I just changed it to “Abrazos y Besos, A” which is close enough that I still like it yet different enough that it is no longer part of your trademark. Next time, please email me instead of commenting.

      xoxo, Leesh

  2. Alicia,
Congrats on winning best Alicia and best makeovers! You really deserved to win both!
    xoxo
